During Term 3, Year 6 students Claire, Keira, Luke & Rhys entered ANSTO's national Think Science Competition, producing a study on how grass grows in different soil conditions.
With their fantastic competition entry, these students were awarded second place in the Years 5-6 division of the competition, winning a $650 prize to contribute to purchasing new classroom materials.
The competition's organiser said our students were clearly excited and motivated about science, and lauded their research skills – a particularly important part of being a scientist!
