Illawarra Christian School has had a successful day at the 2023 South Coast Zone Combined Swimming Carnival in Nowra, emerging as overall winners in both the Primary and Secondary carnivals.
2023 was the first year that both carnivals were held on the same day with Secondary School Sport Coordinator Mrs Madeline Christian reflecting on the day:
"Students are to be commended on how well they swam their events. Many also filled in for those who were absent on the day and secondary students also helped with timing to ensure the carnival ran smoothly.
We were the winning school on the day and all our relay teams have progressed through to the State Carnival.
It was a very hot, but a very successful day."
