Great results at State da Vinci Decathlon for ICS students

The results are in - and it's all good news for Illawarra Christian School's hardworking da Vinci competitors!

 

On Thursday 13 May, the 2021 State da Vinci Decathlon results were announced through an online awards ceremony. If you'd like to view the ceremony, you can do so by clicking here.

Our students have achieved incredible results. Over 5000 students across the state competed in the three days of competition and Illawarra Christian School has performed outstandingly.

Our Year 5 team placed 2nd in Ideation and 3rd in Creative Producers.
Congratulations to Daniel, Selena, Dakota, Sophie, Lucy, Claire, Sarah and Jasmine.
 
Our Year 6 team did not place in any tasks but worked beautifully and submitted outstanding work.
Congratulations to Magnolia, Zahalia, Athul, Ellie, Derek, Ben, Eve and Mia.
 
Our Year 7 team placed 3rd in Legacy, 3rd in Creative Producers and 2nd in Cartography.
Congratulations to Toby, Lauren, Madeleine, Jazmine, Jesse, Mitchell, Isabella and Layla.
 
Our Year 8 team placed 3rd in Mathematics and 1st in the state for Ideation.
Congratulations to Jeremy, Melody, Connor, Cody, Zoe, Joshua, Ben and Abbey.

We are very proud of all these students, whose teamwork and dedication throughout the year so far have paid off. Thank you as well to Mrs Karina Brown who has helped with coaching this year.

What's next in enrichment at ICS? Stay tuned - in Week 8 of this term, four of our Year 7 students will be competing at the International Future Problem Solving championships (online this year), after placing third in the national championships last year.
