At the beginning of Term 4, 14 students travelled to Brisbane for the Future Problem Solving National finals. We are so blessed with the quality of our students. They were incredible all weekend and were an absolute delight.
Two junior teams, a middle division team and two MAGICS (reserves) competed. Toby even got to carry the flag in to the opening ceremony for NSW!
One of our junior teams (Rhys, Rosie, Keira and Jessica) came first in the country for their presentation of action plan and 5th nationally for their academic booklet on the topic of Throw Away Society. This is absolutely outstanding. What an achievement!
Emily was part of a MAGIC team comprised of reserves from around the country. Her team placed second in the parallel MAGIC competition.
An unexpected extra night due to flight cancellation turned out to be an added bonus including another sleepover, a great restaurant dinner and a movie night complete with popcorn!
A huge thanks to Mrs Atkinson, Mrs Eastman, Mr and Mrs Janeski, Mrs Boynton and Mr Taylor for coming with us and for their support throughout the trip.
Congratulations to all of our incredible students: Rhys, Rosie, Keira, Jessica, Claire, Sophia, Zaria, Amber, Emily, Jazmine, Toby, Mitchell, Madeleine and Rebekah.
