Congratulations to Year 12 students Caleb Vagg and Ashton Jones, whose Industrial Technology – Multimedia Major Works have been nominated for the HSC SHAPE Showcase!
Caleb's project, "Path to Discovery", and Ashton's project, "Coastal Records", have been shortlisted for inclusion in the showcase of Major Works from HSC Design and Technology, Industrial Technology and Textiles and Design, which will be held in 2025.

Caleb Vagg – "Path to Discovery"
Path to Discovery is a captivating multimedia project that takes you on a sonic journey through creativity and emotion. This work features an original lo-fi, chill-vibe song accompanied by a visually stunning music video, embodying the theme of exploration and self-discovery. The project also includes a live recording cover of "Haunted" by The Band Camino, bringing a hauntingly beautiful rendition to life.
To add a dynamic visual element, a Novation light show is expertly synchronised with the cover, creating an immersive audio-visual experience. Path to Discovery seamlessly blends music, video, and light to craft a unique and engaging narrative.
Ashton Jones – "Coastal Records"
From this project, I aim to achieve a fully interactive and sophisticated website that has the authentic look and feel of a record company, a fully-fledged music video using Blender and two songs - a cover, and an original. It will be a site where users can access music, film clips, merchandise, and information about the record company and its music.
These would be featured on a mock website of my record company, "Coastal Records", which would be interactive and user-friendly. I also hope to achieve two music recordings: a cover of a song and an original in my chosen style. This will also feature original album art to accompany the songs.
