On Monday, May 22, Years 7 and 8 were visited by Australian artist Joel Moore, better known as Mulga.
Our Year 7 Visual Arts classes attended workshops run by Mulga, in which the students learned to draw a gorilla in his artistic style.
Students had the opportunity to put their own creative spin on their drawings, adding their own patterns, colours and even drawing accessories such as hats and glasses.
Mulga also gave a talk to our Year 7 and 8 students, sharing about his career, and how he's made a living doing something he loves!
He discussed things such as how his art career started, how he developed his style, the brands and companies he's worked with, and he gave our students some top tips based on his career experience.
The students all had an enjoyable time, and we thank Joel for his visit to our school!
